MATERIAL KNOWLEDGE
What is Lakha Red Granite?
A red-family granite trade selection distinct from other Imperial or Ruby-named materials. Shade range and mineral contrast should be approved on the actual slabs rather than through an artificially saturated image.
Colour, pattern and room planning
Consider a disciplined use of red on selected floors, counters or stair elements. Keep adjacent materials quieter if the stone is intended to be the main colour statement.
Fabrication and layout decisions
Check shade consistency across the full quantity, especially when ordering treads, risers and later replacement pieces. The required thickness and exterior finish depend on design, support and exposure.
Compare Lakha Red with Jhansi Red
A different red trade selection may have a visibly different grain even when its thumbnail colour is similar. Compare the actual samples with Jhansi Red Granite under the same light, and ask whether shade, mineral scale, direction or maintenance is the deciding factor.
Finishes, dimensions and the actual offer
Polished concepts help discuss reflectivity and colour, but the proposed finish must be approved on a real sample. Honed or textured alternatives, where suitable, can change both appearance and cleaning behaviour. A finish label alone is not evidence of wet-slip performance.
Ask for the measured usable length and width, actual thickness and tolerances for the offered slabs. The required thickness follows the support, cut-outs, piece size, transport and installation design; an illustration does not establish a stock format. Agree how repairs, resin, mesh or colour enhancement will be declared.
Care and everyday use
Use a neutral stone cleaner, remove spills promptly and protect the surface from abrasive grit. Use trivets under hot cookware. Whether an impregnating treatment is needed depends on the actual stone, finish and use; treatment does not make stone stain-proof. Follow the selected treatment manufacturer’s instructions rather than a universal yearly sealing rule.
